Before the 2025 Formula 1 season, many drivers are switching teams, but one new duo grabs attention right away.
With Lewis Hamilton joining Ferrari, the most successful driver and team in the sport will work together for the remaining years of the British driver’s career.
Since 2008, Ferrari has not taken home a Drivers’ or Constructors’ Championship.
At his home race in Brazil, Felipe Massa was denied the championship by Hamilton, despite his belief that he had won it that year.
Kimi Raikkonen’s effort helped a team that was devastated at Interlagos win the team championship, so at least there was some consolation for them, but Ferrari’s title drought persists.
The prospect of a collaboration between the seven-time world champion and Charles Leclerc is sure to thrill the Tifosi, and Hamilton acknowledged that he felt moved at Monza this year for reasons other than the enthusiastic reception he received from the home crowd.

In order to add to his three race victories, Hamilton will need to focus on six more races with Mercedes before the 2019 season officially begins.
Rob Smedley, a former race engineer for Ferrari, talked about Hamilton’s upcoming departure on the Formula For Success podcast.
He thought the 39-year-old had already escaped one potentially “dangerous” error before traveling to Maranello.
It concerns his race engineer Pete Bonnington, who turned down a chance to join Ferrari and will be in charge of Kimi Antonelli, Hamilton’s replacement, for the upcoming campaign.
