Daniel Ricciardo’s F1 career seemed to be coming to an end when he lost his RB seat, but Christian Horner and Lewis Hamilton have led the tributes to the Australian driver.

With Yuki Tsunoda from the US Grand Prix replacing Ricciardo effective immediately, it is improbable that the eight-time winner of the US Grand Prix, who is 35 years old, will ever take the grid again. Liam Lawson will replace Ricciardo.

The Red Bull team led the tributes to “The Honey Badger” during Ricciardo’s F1 career prime, which spanned from 2014 to 2018. Hamilton, along with several other F1 drivers and teams, including competitors, responded to Ricciardo’s own farewell message, referring to the Perth native as a “legend.”
