Morgan joined the Sports Breakfast show to speak to hosts Alan Brazil and Ally McCoist and was still giddy from watching his side destroy Chelsea at the Emirates.
Kai Havertz, who joined the Gunners from Chelsea last summer in a £65m transfer, scored
twice and talkTV host Morgan was keen to let Blues fans know it on
Wednesday morning by belting out the Kai Havertz song.He started somberly: “Morning, gentlemen. I want to start with a very serious
statement about what happened last night that will resonate with Arsenal
fans and Chelsea fans.”It is my kind of summary of what I think is the main take away from last night’s game is, and it goes like this.”It is a four-line statement, it goes like this: Tsamina mina, eh, eh. Waka
waka, eh, eh. £60 million down the drain, Kai Havertz scores again!”
The Shakira song the Arsenal fans serenade Havertz with is the 2010 World Cup anthem she sang and is used to remind Chelsea about what they are missing.
Arsenal’s crushing victory has put them three points clear of second-placed Liverpool, who play on Wednesday night against Everton, and four ahead of Manchester City, who have two games in hand.
However, Morgan believes the victory over Chelsea has given Mikel Arteta’s side the ammunition to go on and win the Premier League for the first time since 2004.
He added: “[In the 2022/23 season], we collapsed about this time last year and the big fear for Arsenal fans this season – when we melted down to Villa and lost to Bayern Munich – the big fear was that we were going right back to where we were last year.
